Ms. Kerry McGlame, Ed.S.
I have been a part of the Woodland Park School District since 2001. I am originially from the Boston area, but have lived in New Jersey with my family most of my adult life. I have an Undergraduate Degree from Lesley University in Education & Special Education, my Masters Degree in Counseling from Montclair State University, and my Post-Graduate Degree as an Education Specialist from Seton Hall University. I am also a New Jersey Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor and a New Jersey Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
As the School Counselor, my role is to support the students at Memorial Middle School. My number one goal is to implement a comprehensive counseling program that meets students' needs through prevention, early identification, and intervention on academic, social, and emotional levels. Emphasis is placed on academic and personal growth, multi-cultural and career awareness, and the development of interpersonal and decision-making skills. These goals are met through classroom activities, small group work, peer mediation, and individual meetings with students. Through collaboration with teachers, parents, Child Study Team, and administration, we will be able to ensure the safety and success of our students.
I am the advisor to the Anti-Bullying Alliance, the team leader of the Intervention & Referral Services Committee (I&RS), and the School Safety & School Climate Committee. I am also the Anti-Bullying Specialist.
If I can be of support to you or your child, please feel free to contact me by phone, at (973) 317-7786, or by email, at kmcglame@wpschools.org.
I look forward to working with you!
