     Hello Parents!

I am so excited that we have begun our speech work!

During Speech Therapy Sessions, we spend most of our time talking, singing, playing, moving, and doing social and interactive activities .....so there won’t always be papers for the students to take home.  Let's have fun talking and playing!

I am very excited to announce that we will be beginning Animal Assisted Speech Therapy (AAT) with, Jolie, an adult Cavalier King Charles Spaniel! (which are known for their playful, loving, and easy going personalities). Studies have demonstrated that Animal Assisted Speech Therapy helps children practice language acquisition, provokes attention and engagement, stimulates conversation and social interaction all done by increasing motivation!  We will begin by learning how to meet a new dog, including how to ask permission to pet the dog, and how to give the doggie handshake. Jolie will be incorporated into learning age appropriate language and social concepts.
