Welcome to Preschool at Charles Olbon School

In the Woodland Park Schools Preschool Program, our faculty and staff understand that your child’s first few years are among the most important for his or her development. We offer a nurturing educational environment with activities that are developmentally appropriate for each child.

Classrooms are organized into “interest areas” that are supported by Creative Curriculum aligned with New Jersey Preschool Standards. Daily routines are established to provide a structured learning environment designed to enhance your child’s individual strengths. The Charles Olbon prekindergarten teachers create a classroom community where children are encouraged to work and play together to have a positive early childhood experience. Our program is for prek3 and prek4 students. The class size is no greater than 15 students, and every classroom has a classroom aide.

Our location has 7 preschool classrooms. Charles Olbon has five general education preschool classrooms,  one PSD (Pre-School Disabled) classroom,  and one Growing Minds preschool classroom. We are proud of meeting the needs of all learners in our growing tuition-free preschool program.

As a mother of four children, and an experienced educator with over 20 years of experience, I know how important a child's early education experience is.  I encourage you to ask questions, bring up concerns, and, of course- get involved in our community. It is the home-school connection that will make all the difference to your child and you!

Thank you for your partnership- we are #PROUDTOBEWP!  If you are interested in finding out more about enrolling your child in our program, please reach out to Mrs. Perez, at lperez@wpschools.org.

    Warmly,

    Ms. Suzanne Socha
