Here are some useful tips to reinforce skills at home.

 

1.  Flashcards can be used to practice letter and number recognition, initial consonant sounds and especially addition and subtraction facts.

 

2.  Read to your child and have them point to sight words that they recognize.

 

3.  While driving you can have children recite their name, address and phone number.  Practice counting by one's, 2's, 5's, and 10's to 100.  Also try to find sight words by looking at road signs.
