    'Libraries = Success' is going well at Memorial School

    The Libraries = Success program is going well at Memorial Middle School. Currently, 6th grade has about 65 percent participation, fifth is at 35 percent and 7th and 8th grade are starting to bring more and more cards in.

    Beatrice Gilmore Elementary School recently marked Week of Respect, aimed at educating the students about the importance of showing respect to themselves and others. They worked on activities and lessons regarding the value of respect in class all week.

    CO & BG students "Start With Hello"

    Charles Olbon and Beatrice Gilmore Schools both recently worked to "Start With Hello." The initiative was created by Sandy Hook Promise, a national non-profit organization founded and led by family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012.

    District receives $261K grant to expand pre-K program

    The Woodland Park School District was one of 28 that were notified this week of pre-K expansion grant funding awards. This $20 million in funding to the 28 districts means that approximately 1,450 additional children across the state will have access to quality pre-K.
