COVID-19 Message from the School Nurses
As we continue to navigate through the remaining 2021-22 school year, we would like to share some important information to clear up any confusion.
- Keep your child home when they are sick.

Please see the following guidance regarding illness/symptoms:

- If your child has 2 or more symptoms in Column A or 1 symptom in Column B:

Column A:
Fever
Chills
Muscle/Body Aches
Headache
Sore throat
Nausea
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Fatigue
Congestion or Runny nose
Column B:
Cough
Shortness of breath
Difficulty breathing
New loss of taste or smell

You must provide either:

A negative COVID-19 PCR test (rapid tests will not be accepted).

or a doctor’s note with an alternative diagnosis

AND be at least 24 hours after resolution of fever without fever-reducing medications to allow your child to return to in-person learning.

- Please report any illness/+COVID cases to your school nurse.
- Masks -are optional at this time
- Quarantining and isolation
- If you have been in close contact (15 minutes and less than 3 feet apart if wearing a mask or 20 minutes and less than 6 feet without the use of masks) with a COVID-19 positive person, you are required to stay home from school, quarantine, and report to the school nurse for further instructions.
- If anyone in your household is awaiting COVID test results, do not send your child to school.
- If you live in a household where someone else tested positive and cannot isolate themselves from others, your child will need to be quarantined for 5 days after the positive household member completes their 10 day quarantine period (total of 15 days from the positive person's test results).
- Only PCR results will be accepted.
